Get Active in Greene County Democratic Party (GCDP)

After many years of suffering under Republican control, there are now more registered Democrats (28,800) in Greene County than Republicans (27,000).   But, nearly half (50,000) of registered voters are Independent or not declared.  We Democrats need to get our information out to the voters, particularly the Independents and those who are not declared.   Now is the time for you to step forward to have a positive influence on your government and your country.  Here are some things you can do:

  • Email your friends a link to this web site, the Democratic Party web site http://gcdp.org  and the web sites of other Democratic candidates.
  • Volunteer to distribute materials to your friends and neighbors.  You can pick up my materials and those of other candidates at the GCDP Headquarters at 87 E. Main Street, Xenia, Ph 372 6003 (Hours 10AM - 4PM Thursday through Saturday)  Later this Summer you can help when we have an organized effort to distribute campaign materials to every household in Greene County.
  • Sign up to place one of my yard signs in your yard.  Email me about that, sending your name, address, and phone number to Bill.Conner@hotmail.com. 
  • Join one of our work sessions where we will be stuffing envelopes, packaging materials, assembling signs, etc.  These sessions will be at the GCDP Hq and will be announced on this web site.  These sessions generate a lot of spirit and fun.
  • Attend one of our fund raisers.  These are normally dinner affairs on Friday or Saturday night.  I'll talk about the issues to the extent anyone wants and then we normally play cards and other games and have fun.  Most, if not all, indoor events will be at the GCDP Hq.  We will also have outdoor events at community park shelters in Fairborn, Beavercreek, and Xenia.
  • The Democratic Party needs captains for many of the precincts in the county.  Contact me (bill.conner@hotmail.com ) or Eileen Martin at the GCDP Hq.  This is for people who feel a real calling to do their part.  Appointment as a precinct captain gives you a voting membership on the GCDP Executive Committee.  Others may want to be part of the team supporting the precinct captain in their neighborhood.  They can also contact Eileen or me.
